Two Rock superintendent/principal honored by county

June 14, 2006

Fred Adam, superintendent/principal of Two Rock Union School District, received the 2005-06 Sonoma Coun-ty Superinten-dent/Principal of the Year Award from the Sonoma County Association of School Administrators.

Adam, who has served as the district's superintendent/ principal since July 2000, also was superintendent of the Harmony School District in Occidental this academic year. The award acknowledges his administrative skills and exceptional performance, and qualifies him to compete for the California Superintendent/Principal of the Year Award.

"Sonoma County is privileged to have many talented administrators, and it is a genuine honor to be selected for this year's SCASA award," Adam said. "The true recognition for this award should go to the staff at Two Rock School.

"Their hard work and dedication during the past two years has resulted in the school being recognized as a California Distinguished School and their administrator receiving this special award."

The district has one school, Two Rock Elementary School, which has 170 students and is located at 5001 Spring Hill Road.

The SCASA also presented awards for superintendent, elementary principal and secondary principal of the year. Each year, school districts choose nominees and the SCASA then decides on award recipients.
