Here are some of the cases Petaluma police responded to last week. Information on some cases was not available by press time and is indicated by the acronym INA (information not available). The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes, such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property -- and including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

FRIDAY, JUNE 9

1:24 a.m. -- A Petaluma man was cited for possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana on First Street near D Street. INA.

2:21 a.m. -- Nicole Alexander of 1144 Baywood Drive was arrested for drunken driving on Petaluma Boulevard North near East Washington Street. INA.

8:20 a.m. -- A thief stole $80 worth of items from a vehicle parked at 1734 Stone Creek Drive. INA.

1:48 p.m. -- About $550 worth of stuff was stolen from a vehicle parked at 1738 Stone Creek Drive. INA.

2:16 p.m. -- Petty theft was reported on Fair Street. INA.

4:02 p.m. -- A vehicle parked at 3900 Lakeville Highway was burglarized. Estimated loss was $1. INA.

4:39 p.m. -- Property on Maria Drive was vandalized. INA.

7:03 p.m. -- Harold Powell of Petaluma was arrested on Copeland Street near East D Street for felony violation of parole. INA.

SATURDAY, JUNE 10

1:06 a.m. -- Brian Mathison of Napa was arrested on Frates Road near Lakeville Highway for drunken driving. INA.

1:39 a.m. -- A Petaluma woman was arrested on Ramona Drive for being under the influence of a controlled substance. INA.

8:01 a.m. -- Elim Lutheran Church at 401 Baker St. was vandalized. Damage was estimated at less than $400. INA.

11:40 a.m. -- An incident of petty theft occurred on Edith Street. INA.

3:47 p.m. -- A robbery was reported at 261 N. McDowell Blvd. INA.

4:49 p.m. -- Raffaele Fiorentino of 1602 Oneel Drive was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance at 900 Petaluma Blvd. North. INA.

7:22 p.m. -- Daniel Williams of Santa Rosa was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance on North McDowell Boulevard near Old Redwood Highway. INA.

9:55 p.m. -- Joshua Powell of 1517 Tamar Drive was arrested for felony robbery at the Fast n' Easy store on Payran Street. INA.

SUNDAY, JUNE 11

12:50 a.m. -- Sabino Ortiz of 555 Lakeville Circle was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance at Calle Ranchero near Sartori Drive. INA.

1:49 a.m. -- Soheil Mostaghal of 1659 Oneel Drive was arrested for drunken driving at 406 E. Washington St. INA.

9:46 a.m. -- Property on Garfield Drive was vandalized. INA.

4:15 p.m. -- An incident of child abuse was reported. INA.

7:19 p.m. -- Stephen Vanguilder of 1280 St. Francis Drive was arrested at 102 East Court for felony possession of a controlled substance for sale. INA.

7:30 p.m. -- Dennis Reid of 1821 Lakeville Highway was arrested on Jefferson Street at Wilson Street for felony possession of a controlled substance. INA.

9:53 p.m. -- Child abuse was reported. INA.

10:58 p.m. -- Stained-glass windows at St. Vincent's Church at 35 Liberty St. were broken.

MONDAY, JUNE 12

6:52 a.m. -- About $700 worth of stuff was stolen from a vehicle parked at 644 Lakeville Circle. INA.

9:26 a.m. -- A vehicle parked at 308 Walnut St. was burglarized. Estimated value of items stolen was $3,600. INA.

12:03 p.m. -- Rosalie Alarcon, 51, of 832 Ely Blvd. South was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance at 1368 N. McDowell Blvd.

12:52 p.m. -- Rape was reported. INA.

2:46 p.m. -- A 26-year-old Petaluma man was arrested for domestic violence battery on Caulfield Lane near Lakeville Street.

7:24 p.m. -- A 28-year-old Petaluma woman was arrested for domestic violence battery on Lakeville Street.

8:16 p.m. -- Property at 610 Lakeville Circle was vandalized. INA.

9:10 p.m. -- Les Hellman, 25, of 1901 Stony Point Road was arrested on North McDowell Boulevard near Old Redwood Highway for felony possession of a controlled substance for sale. An 18-year-old Petaluma woman with Hellman was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. INA.

TUESDAY, JUNE 13

12:31 a.m. -- Arturo Garcia, 37, of 21 Lombardi Court was arrested at 717 E. D St. for drunken driving.

6:28 a.m. -- A vehicle parked at 1100 Garfield Drive was burglarized. Value of items stolen was $1. INA.

7:48 a.m. -- Property at 1175 Lakeville Circle was vandalized. Damage was estimated at less than $400. INA.

9 a.m. -- A thief shoplifted $523 worth of items from the Radio Shack at 133 N. McDowell Blvd. INA.

10:18 a.m. -- A vehicle on River Pine Circle was burglarized. INA.

10:25 a.m. -- Property at 72 Alta Drive was vandalized. INA.

11:21 a.m. -- Windows at St. Vincent's Church at 35 Liberty Street were broken. Damage was estimated at more than $400.

1 p.m. -- Margarito Hernandez, 36, of Petaluma was arrested for felony domestic violence assault resulting in injury.

3:31 p.m. -- A case of unlawful sex was reported. INA.

6:22 p.m. -- Charles Ross, 27, of 2064 Adobe Road was arrested for shoplifting $1 worth of items from G&G Market at 701 Sonoma Mountain Parkway. INA.

11:11 p.m. -- Property at 200 C St. was vandalized. Damage was estimated at more than $400. INA.
