Police log

Here are some of the cases Petaluma police responded to last week. Information on some cases was not available by press time and is indicated by the acronym INA (information not available). The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes, such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property -- and including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

THURSDAY, JUNE 1

4:46 p.m. -- Three 15-year-old boys threatened and held another male juvenile against his will at 333 Casa Grande Road. The three boys were arrested for battery and false imprisonment.

8:17 p.m. -- A 15-year-old boy was cited for tagging a light fixture at 10 C St.

FRIDAY, JUNE 2

8:19 a.m. -- Graffiti in white paint was left on the sidewalk on Del Oro Circle.

9:54 a.m. -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested at 333 Casa Grande Road for possession of metal knuckles.

SATURDAY, JUNE 3

7:06 p.m. -- Someone spray-painted gang graffiti on a garage at 750 Bantam Way.

SUNDAY, JUNE 4

3:54 p.m. -- Nicholas Diaz, 21, of 1513 Lauren Drive was arrested for using his vehicle as a weapon in a felony incident of road rage that occurred on Lauren Drive at North McDowell Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

5:03 p.m. -- A thief broke a window on a vehicle parked at 700 Bantam Way and stole a set of keys.

MONDAY, JUNE 5

6:16 a.m. -- A petty theft was reported on Bungalow Lane. INA.

12:53 p.m. -- Petty theft occurred on Wisteria Circle. INA.

1 p.m. -- A grand theft was reported on Nob Hill Terrace. INA.

1:58 p.m. -- Nancy Aldana, 18, of 1900 Sestri Lane was arrested for battery at 333 Casa Grande Road.

5:42 p.m. -- Vehicle parts were stolen from a parked car at 125 Roundwalk Circle. INA.

11:22 p.m. -- Property at 136 Petaluma Blvd. North was vandalized. INA.

TUESDAY, JUNE 6

8:31 a.m. -- A 15-year-old boy was arrested for battery on Industrial Avenue.

10:31 a.m. -- Property on Fair Street was vandalized. INA.

2:10 p.m. -- Someone forged a prescription for drugs at the Savon pharmacy at 939 Lakeville St.

6:31 p.m. -- Brittany Chitwood, 18, of Walnut Creek was arrested at 136 Petaluma Blvd. North for shoplifting. INA.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7

12:14 a.m. -- A petty theft was reported on Woodworth Way. INA.

12:49 a.m. -- A 40-year-old Petaluma man was arrested for obstruction of justice at 514 D St.

6:05 a.m. -- Two purses were stolen from a vehicle parked at 1 Kiwi Court. Value of items stolen was $20.

6:39 a.m. -- A vehicle parked at Lucchesi Park was burglarized. INA.

9 a.m. -- A burglary was reported on Redwood Way. INA.

11:20 a.m. -- A suspect stole a cash drawer with $200 from the Deaf Dog coffee stand at 304 Mountain View Ave.

12:20 p.m. -- George Reid, 40, of 1821 Lakeville Highway was arrested for vandalizing property at his home address. INA.

12:50 p.m. -- Vandalism was reported on Lakeville Highway. INA.

12:51 p.m. -- Three girls ages 14, 15 and 16 were arrested for battery at 333 Casa Grande Road.

2:46 p.m. -- William Deroo, 58, of Sebastopol was arrested on Redwood Highway near East Washington Street for drunken driving.

3:19 p.m. -- A 15-year-old boy was cited for possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana in Putnam Plaza on Petaluma Boulevard North.

6:56 p.m. -- Graffiti was reported at Trader Joe's at 215 N. McDowell Blvd.

7:18 p.m. -- A 22-year-old Bodega Bay man was cited for possession of 28.5 grams or less of marijuana on Washington Street.

THURSDAY, JUNE 8

5:58 a.m. -- Property on Howard Street was vandalized. INA.

9:28 a.m. -- An incident of petty theft was reported. INA.

12:08 p.m. -- Child abuse occurred. INA.

12:13 p.m. -- A case of fraud was reported on South McDowell Boulevard. INA.

12:26 p.m. -- A vehicle parked on Auto Center Drive was burglarized. INA.

3:44 p.m. -- A 39-year-old Petaluma man was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.
