As usual, the Farmer's Market will host over 50 booths selling fresh farm produce, fresh cut flowers, vegetable starts, smoked salmon, live oysters, olive oil, fresh cheeses, fresh baked goods, espresso and smoothies, a jumping house, pony rides and face painting.

So you want to be an animator?

Those interested in breaking into the field of animation may want to hear a talk given by animator Eugene Hamm at 7 p.m. Thursday at Copperfield's Books, 140 Kentucky St.

Hamm's book "How to Get a Job in Animation and Keep It" is the book Hamm wishes he had when he was first starting out. The book explains that talent and drive are vital to animation success, but it's not always enough. Hamm will educate on reels, pricing jobs, increasing chances of participating in film festivals, copyrighting and living in Los Angeles. Admission is free.
