June's first baby

Dairy Princess Annie McIsaac visits the first baby of Dairy Month, Dominic Morales, who was born at Petaluma Valley Hospital on June 1

As the first baby born at Petaluma Valley Hospital in June -- Dairy Month -- newborn Dominic Morales and family received a gift basket from the North Bay Dairy Women on June 2.

District No. 3 Dairy Princess Annie McIsaac of Novato presented the family with the gift basket, which was filled with dairy products, gift certificates, baby clothes and toys decorated with cows.

Dominic, son of Shannon and Phillip Morales of Rohnert Park, was born on June 1 and weighed in at seven pounds, five ounces.

In addition to gifts for the newborn, McIsaac presented the nurses in the obstetrics unit at PVH with a cheese basket.

North Bay Dairy Women is a local organization that promotes and educates the public about the dairy industry.
