Riebli earns top poultry honor

Petaluma-based Sunrise Farms' managing partner Arnie Riebli has been named the Poultry Person of the Year by the Pacific Egg & Poultry Association, an organization that represents the egg and poultry industries in 11 western states and Canada.

Riebli has been president of the California Egg Industry Association since 2002, and a director of the American Egg Board since 1986. He was the first chairman of the California Egg Commission and served on the board of directors until 2002.

Sunrise is the leading supplier of eggs to the Bay Area.

O'Brien joins CMS Steel Buildings

Bing O'Brien has joined Construction Management Solutions as manager of sales for their newly formed corporation, CMS Steel Buildings. The company will focus on expansion needs of agricultural businesses.

O'Brien was president of New York Business Computers for more than 15 years. He also helped found the Basic Four Corporation in Newport Beach and the Qantel Corp. in Hayward.

Native Petaluman pumps up business

An energy product created by Petaluma native Brian Edwards, Pump-X, was featured on Spike TV on June 12 as a part of the show "Competitive Edge."

Pump-X is a proprietary blend of vitamins intended to bring oxygen to the cellular level and improve blood flow.

Edwards opened his Pullman, Wash. store N22 Nutrition in 2004 and began selling and promoting Pump-X, which was initially developed to help motocross racers fight a problem known as "arm pump," a cramping that occurs in the forearms while riding dirt bikes. Edwards now has now opened Xtreme Sports Supplements, a business dedicated to developing unique nutritional supplements.

Kneis new chamber president

Carol Kneis of Bank of Marin is the new president of the Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce.

Kneis is joined on the board by first vice president Richard Marzo of Lace House Linen, second vice president Samantha Freitas of Freitas Public Relations, treasurer Elece Hempel of Petaluma People Services Center and immediate past president David King.

Other board members are Mkulima Britt, Clover Stor-netta Farms; Thom Knudson, attorney; and Tony Sarno, Basin Street Properties.
